Ray is a founder and previously Managing Director of Solcara. Prior to founding Solcara in 2001, Ray was Sales Director at Dataware Technologies (UK) Limited, a leader in information management, retrieval and knowledge driven e-business solutions. He was also a director at Eurostart Technologies Limited from 1997 to 1998, a company helping US technology companies entering European markets.
Ray was appointed Chairman of Solcara in January 2008 and in this role he is helping the Solcara business maximise its potential in the UK and beyond. |

Rob Martin is a co-founder and Managing Director of Solcara Ltd. Prior to establishing Solcara in 2001 Rob worked as the Technical Services Director of Dataware Technologies (UK) Ltd (1996-2001) and in several senior positions, including Technical Director, at STATUS/IQ Ltd (1989-1996). Rob is a computer science graduate from the Dublin Institute of Technology, Ireland. Rob has more than 20 years’ experience of software development, consultancy, sales & marketing and throughout his career he has specialised in search, information and knowledge management technologies and solutions.

Ian has worked for Solcara since it was established in 2001. He manages the software development team and processes at Solcara. Ian is committed to the production of high quality and innovative search and knowledge management software that solves real business issues. Ian has more than 24 years of software design and development expertise and has in-depth experience of all stages of the development life-cycle of server-side and client-side applications using a wide variety of technologies and platforms. Ian enjoys keeping current with the state-of-the-art, incuding semantic web related technologies and federated search.

Mehdi Roudsari is the Technical Services Manager of Solcara Ltd. Mehdi is responsible for all customer projects and support. He is a Computer System Engineer graduate from Brunel University, London, and has specialised in Microsoft technologies obtaining MCSE certification at various levels. Prior to joining Solcara, Mehdi ran his own IT support and networking business. Mehdi is focused on ensuring that all of Solcara's customers maximise the value of their investments in Solcara's technology and solutions.

Steve has worked for Solcara since it was established in 2001 and prior to this he worked at Dataware Technologies (UK) Ltd. As Senior Developer and Solution Architect he played a strong role in creating the knowledge framework and interfaces which underpin the KnowHow & SolSearch products. Between 2006-10 Steve represented Solcara as Principal Consultant on the European 6th Framework Programme Integrated Project “X-Media – Large Scale Knowledge Sharing and Reuse Across Media” (www.x-media-project.org). The X-Media project involved the study, development and implementation of new methodologies and techniques for large scale knowledge management and sharing. The project also involved an investigation into semantic technologies and Solcara PRISM was developed as a direct result of Solcara’s involvement. Steve has also worked with other machine learning and linguistic technologies to enhance Solcara’s products and solutions. Steve gained a B.Sc. and Ph.D. in Astrophysics and has previously worked in scientific software environment.
